Policy on Enterprise in Education |
|
Rationale Enterprise in Education (E in E) is about the future of Scotland and about enhancing children's' life skills and employability through the development of enterprise skills and attitudes. Education for Work and Enterprise should be an integral part of the curriculum. Sometimes it will be very obvious “inserts” and at other times it will be a permeating element through all areas of the curriculum, through the adoption of creative approaches to learning and teaching. This policy is a statement about all E in E work
undertaken in West Barns Primary School, curricular and extra curricular.
It takes account of the existing good practice in West Barns Primary
School and looks ahead to how this good practice can be extended and improved. The E in E Co-ordinator will chair the E in E committee to keep the programmes of study under review and raise awareness of the staff of new developments as appropriate. Other members of staff may take the lead in the operation of particular E in E activities. |
Aims In West Barns Primary School we aim to: · develop the core skills young people need to be successful in the world of work
